How balanced is your life?

Image
Have you ever felt that your career has derailed other aspects of your life? Your personal relationships? Your health? How many of us give equal importance to all areas of our lives?  The question is – have we actually even sat down and divided our life into meaningful areas?   There are a lot of questions right here in this post. But that's just the thing. We don’t ask ourselves enough questions. Life is usually divided in to two parts – Professional and Personal. Maybe some of us sub divide the Professional part into Career and Finances. But I’m pretty damn sure there’s little or no thought given to what goes into the “Personal” bucket. Yes, some of us have goals – job, car, family, house, travel (perhaps) and the list could go, but I’m not sure it actually does go on.   How important is your health to you? Does it go into your list of goals – if it does, kudos to you. Yes, I know, there’s growing importance to one’s own health (especially nowadays and I AM rolling my e...

Your Now is Not Your Forever

How many times have we had the feeling that the situation we’re in is never going to end? We’re never going to stop feeling so miserable, so stressed or so anxious. In the current circumstances, despite of which part of the globe you’re in, most of us have at some point felt that this lockdown, this feeling of being stuck in our own homes is never going to end.   Everyone goes through this at some point in time or the other in their lives. While we’re students, while were young, stressed out working professionals, while we’re anxious parents to young toddlers going through sleep regression right through to your kids’ teenage years; you get my drift - it simply seems never ending!     Well the reality is that life is not static, it is ever changing as are us human beings. However, while we’re in that moment, we don’t see the light at the end of the tunnel. We can’t find the silver lining to that cloud or the lesson to that experience; it seems impossible. ...

One typically starts their working life with many positive qualities such as adaptability, resilience, motivation; expectations and rosy visions about how life is going to turn out. Somewhere along time, they get forgotten. These inner core values get trampled upon. They more often than not, either replaced or taken over with feelings such as stress, anxiety, insecurity and the list can go on forever.  Factors such as physical exhaustion, mental stress emotional burn out are usually the cause of this sad turn of events. And then the questions start. “What happened to me?” “I was never this person.” “Why am I so anxious all the time?” As a result, the quest to regaining the balance in life and keeping one’s life on track begins.   However, it doesn't have to always be this way. The so called “rat race” in my opinion is called that because one forgets somewhere along the line that the “rats” or individuals in the race are actually humans. Humans who have beating hearts, who feel...

My story

Who are you, people ask? What do you do? Well sometimes I feel like telling them that it's a really long answer and are you really that interested in knowing?! The short answer is I’m a Marketing Professional gone rogue. An avid traveler and a baking enthusiast. And now I'm an Emotional Wellness Coach in the making.   The long answer is: I'm an ex Marketing professional who went rogue and quit her job and freelanced as a strategy consultant for a few years. I traveled as much as I could, worked when I had to, discovered I was a pretty good baker and earned some money off of it as well. Well, again as time went by, I found that while all the consulting work kept me afloat financially (well just about), that,  again it definitely wasn't pulling at my heart strings. Life has a strange way of eventually bringing you to where you need to belong and here I am 5 years later, having done some amazing Inner work on myself and now, I'm ready to help others on their journeys o...
